Production Officer – Chemical Plant

About the role

The Production Officer will work on a chemical manufacturing shift to ensure production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and product quality. You will collaborate with the shift operation team and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve daily shift production targets in partnership with the operation team.
• Operate and monitor plant equipment through the Distributed Control System (DCS).
• Record process parameters in predefined formats and SAP.
• Prepare raw materials, verify and charge them at the charging point.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform visual inspections, and assist maintenance during breakdowns.
• Support preventive maintenance, calibration, and plant housekeeping following 5S practices.
• Participate in emergency response drills, sampling, and quality checks.
• Contribute to root‑cause analysis, risk assessments, pre‑startup safety reviews, and related projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
• 4–5 years of experience in batch or continuous chemical operations, preferably handling solid/powder materials and extruder equipment.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and EHS best practices.
• Good verbal communication skills.
