Production Manager – Pet Food Manufacturing

About the role

Primelle Pets, a fast‑growing pet nutrition company, is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead its manufacturing operations in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end production, ensuring that targets, quality, and food‑safety standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise daily production activities for Himalayan Cheese Chews, Sustainable Protein Treats and Lickable Cat Treats.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining product quality and minimizing waste.
• Monitor efficiency, yields, downtime and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO, FDA and other food‑safety regulations.
• Work with Quality Assurance to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement initiatives for cost savings and productivity gains.
• Lead, train and motivate production supervisors, operators and plant staff.
• Coordinate raw‑material availability with procurement and manage inventory utilization.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation and SOPs for audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Veterinary Sciences, Biotechnology, Production Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pet‑food manufacturing, with proven team‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food‑safety systems and quality‑management practices.
