About the role
The Production Director will lead the end‑to‑end production function for a portfolio of luxury brands, including Vogue, GQ, AD and CNT. This senior leadership role oversees video, photography, editorial, digital, social and experiential content, ensuring premium creative output that meets Condé Nast’s global standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the production ecosystem across video, photography, branded and social‑first content, events and integrated campaigns.
- Own production planning from concept through execution, guaranteeing timely, high‑quality delivery.
- Build and manage annual production budgets with strong cost controls and financial efficiency.
- Identify, onboard and manage a network of directors, cinematographers, photographers, production houses, editors, stylists and post‑production partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms, vendor contracts and production costs to maximize value.
- Develop scalable production workflows, SOPs and governance frameworks across multiple brands.
- Partner with Editorial, Creative, Brand Partnerships, Sales, Marketing and Commercial teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Ensure all productions comply with Condé Nast’s creative, legal, compliance and brand standards.
- Oversee schedules, resource allocation, risk management and contingency planning for concurrent projects.
- Drive innovation by introducing new production technologies, AI‑enabled workflows, virtual production techniques and emerging formats.
- Lead, mentor and develop the internal production team, fostering a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
- Track production KPIs, timelines, budgets and quality metrics, reporting regularly to leadership.
Required profile
- 12–15+ years of production leadership experience in media, digital publishing, advertising, broadcast, OTT, branded content or creative agencies.
- Proven track record managing large‑scale integrated productions with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen in budgeting, forecasting and vendor negotiations.
- Deep understanding of premium content production, post‑production workflows, digital platforms and emerging media formats.
- Excellent project management, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Extensive network of production houses, directors, DOPs, photographers, editors and studios.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Experience with luxury, fashion, beauty, lifestyle or consumer brands is highly preferred.
