About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Product Line Management professional to own product change management, ensure configuration accuracy, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives for semiconductor and advanced display equipment. The role is based in Bangalore and offers a supportive, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own product change management (PCM) and control, including unreleased product approval and ECO approval.
• Implement PCN processes and provide guidance on field service impact of part/supplier changes.
• Maintain accuracy of customer‑shipped configurations, BOMs, and conduct CaRM reviews.
• Release and manage DDP product software and hardware options for non‑standard orders.
• Drive component roadmaps, part obsolescence handling, and cost‑reduction strategies.
• Facilitate inter‑company communication on product strategy, pricing, and spare‑level content.
• Manage strategic vendor issues and all post‑release product changes.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in product management and related engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices, market competition, and integration with other business areas.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and can lead small projects.
• Solves complex problems using analysis from multiple sources.
• Impacts customer, operational, and project activities within broad guidelines.
• Communicates difficult information clearly and builds consensus.
