Product Engineer – Portfolio Management

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a highly motivated Portfolio Manager to lead portfolio planning, governance, prioritization, execution oversight, and value realization for technology initiatives delivered through the Innovation Capability Center.

Key responsibilities

• Lead portfolio planning and governance processes for ICC technology programs, aligning priorities with business strategy and digital transformation goals.
• Monitor delivery health across programs, manage risks, issues, dependencies, and ensure operational excellence through disciplined execution rhythms.
• Oversee portfolio-level budget planning, forecasting, tracking, and variance management in partnership with finance and technology leaders.
• Prepare executive-ready portfolio updates, dashboards, scorecards, and facilitate governance meetings and steering committees.
• Identify and manage portfolio-level risks, compliance needs, and operational control gaps, ensuring audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• 3‑6 years of experience in portfolio or program management, with at least 2 years leading portfolio governance and financial planning.
• Experience working with global technology teams, senior stakeholders, and cross‑functional operating models.
• Background in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences or other regulated industries is a plus.

• Portfolio and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Planview, Smartsheet, Clarity, MS Project.
• Executive reporting and analytics tools.
• Agile delivery oversight and product operating model knowledge.
