Product Costing Analyst – Finance (Hyderabad)

About the role

BASF is building a new Global Hub in India and seeks a Product Costing Analyst to support collection activities and account reconciliation for low‑ and medium‑complexity customers. You will work in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment, collaborating with finance and HR teams across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers via email, phone or WhatsApp and send updated account statements to low‑ and medium‑complexity accounts.
• Provide necessary information to the Accounts Receivable team to ensure proper payment application and keep customer data current in the Get Paid collection tool.
• Communicate billing discrepancies reported by customers to the relevant internal teams.
• Participate in ad‑hoc client and business meetings.
• Follow established processes and guidelines for collections.
• Assist in the analysis, preparation and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Support medium‑sized projects with guidance from focal points.
• Monitor KPIs such as Overdue and DSO for the assigned portfolio and provide explanations when requested.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in International Relations, Communication or related field, or equivalent customer‑service experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in customer service or collections.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced proficiency in the Get Paid collection tool.
