Procurement Specialist

About the role

Flex is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support its manufacturing operations in Coimbatore. The role focuses on managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and purchased parts, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate price, delivery, and quality terms.
• Place orders for raw materials and purchased parts according to production requirements.
• Track shipments, follow up with freight forwarders and warehouses, and organize transportation.
• Monitor stock levels weekly, avoid over‑stock, and minimize obsolescence risk.
• Review purchase orders, adjust them based on production plan changes, and handle inventory discrepancies.
• Process invoices, settle debit/credit issues, and ensure data privacy for purchasing information.
• Conduct quarterly supplier reviews and maintain procurement records, reports, and metrics.
• Support inventory investigations and ensure critical materials are available on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 + years of procurement or supply‑chain experience.
• Proficiency in English.
