Procurement Sourcing Specialist

About the role

ThoughtSpot’s Procurement team is undergoing a transformation to centralise intake, automate workflows and provide CFO‑level visibility across spend. As a Procurement Sourcing Specialist you will own a high‑volume RFQ/PR pipeline, manage vendor relationships for indirect categories—primarily SaaS—and drive cost‑saving initiatives in a fast‑moving, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise a high‑volume pipeline of RFQ and PR requests, ensuring SLA adherence and flagging bottlenecks.
• Lead end‑to‑end RFP processes: scope requirements, run competitive sourcing events and award contracts.
• Own the full vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, performance tracking, master‑data maintenance and compliance checks.
• Support and eventually facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with strategic vendors.
• Track contract expirations, initiate renewal conversations 90 days in advance and coordinate with Legal and Finance.
• Identify and execute cost‑optimization opportunities through consolidation, competitive bids and data‑driven negotiations.
• Leverage AI tools and automation to reduce manual effort in sourcing, vendor management and reporting.
• Build and maintain trackers and dashboards in Excel or Google Sheets and propose workflow automations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, Management or a related field.
• 4–6 years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
• Proven track record in vendor negotiations, RFP management and contract renewals.
• Strong analytical instincts and ability to work independently in a high‑velocity environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic dashboarding).
• Google Sheets expertise.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data queries.
• Familiarity with Python or JavaScript scripting for simple automation tasks.
