Procurement Professional – Bangalore

About the role

IBM is seeking a Procurement Professional to join its Bangalore office. The role focuses on converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders, supporting the sourcing team, and handling supplier and client queries.

Key responsibilities

• Receive purchase requisitions (PR) and convert them into purchase orders (PO).
• Support indirect procurement activities and assist the sourcing team.
• Address queries from internal stakeholders, suppliers, and accounts payable.
• Transmit POs to suppliers, expedite deliveries, and manage goods/services claims.
• Maintain and amend purchase orders, generate reports on PO status, blanket PO expirations, and contract expirations.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping of processed transactions.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and handle multiple concurrent activities.

Required profile

• Any graduate (B.E/B.Tech, BCA/MCA, etc.) with 0‑1 years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and customer‑service orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts and handle confidential information.
