Procurement Manager – Pharmaceutical APIs

About the role

Camus Pharma Pvt. Ltd., a leading exporter of pharmaceutical APIs, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing of APIs, intermediates and chromatography columns for both domestic and international markets. The role involves building a reliable supplier network, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring cost‑effective, on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Source APIs, intermediates and chromatography columns from domestic and overseas suppliers.
• Identify, develop and evaluate reliable pharmaceutical manufacturers and vendors.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial conditions.
• Develop alternate suppliers to reduce cost and mitigate supply risk.
• Maintain an active network of API manufacturers, traders and suppliers.
• Plan purchases based on customer orders, inventory levels and shipment schedules.
• Evaluate quotations, conduct cost and commercial comparisons.
• Coordinate with quality, regulatory, logistics, finance and management teams.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier documentation, follow‑ups and procurement MIS.
• Review COAs, GMP documents and other vendor‑related regulatory paperwork.
• Lead and guide a purchase team of two to three employees.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong hands‑on experience in API and intermediate procurement.
• Established network of API manufacturers and suppliers.
• Excellent vendor‑development and price‑negotiation capabilities.
• Good commercial understanding and cost‑analysis ability.
• Familiarity with COAs, GMP and pharmaceutical vendor documentation.
• Proficient English communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Jaipur six days per week.
