Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for large‑scale projects, ensuring that materials, equipment and services are available on time, within budget and in compliance with quality and contractual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project procurement strategies aligned with schedules and budgets.
• Manage procurement of civil, mechanical, electrical and hydro‑mechanical equipment and materials.
• Source, evaluate and select qualified suppliers and contractors.
• Lead RFQ, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation and award processes.
• Maintain a reliable vendor database and conduct vendor assessments and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, construction and store teams to identify procurement needs.
• Track critical procurement milestones and ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Oversee logistics, customs clearance (if applicable) and site delivery of equipment and materials.
• Optimize inventory levels and minimize material shortages.
• Prepare procurement budgets, forecasts and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Monitor procurement expenditures against approved budgets and report on performance.
• Identify procurement risks, develop mitigation plans and ensure business continuity through alternate sourcing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end procurement for civil, mechanical, electrical or hydro‑mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of vendor and supplier management, including assessments and negotiations.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams such as engineering, construction and logistics.
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and procurement reports.
• Solid understanding of risk management and compliance in a project environment.
