Procurement Executive – Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Procurement Executive will lead end‑to‑end purchasing activities for Stockarea’s warehouse operations in Chennai. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment and services, ensuring that all procurement actions align with cost, quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle for warehouse operations, from requisition to purchase order issuance.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate and onboard vendors to secure quality, cost‑effective, and timely supplies.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, quotations, contracts and related documentation.
• Collaborate with warehouse, operations, inventory and finance teams to meet procurement needs.
• Monitor supplier performance, addressing issues related to pricing, quality and delivery timelines.
• Analyse spend data to uncover cost‑optimization opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
• Prepare regular procurement reports and support strategic sourcing initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, preferably within warehouse or logistics environments.
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, inventory and finance teams.
• Analytical mindset for spend analysis and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
