Procurement Analyst – GBS (Chennai)

About the role

Flex is looking for a GBS Procurement Analyst to join its Chennai team. In this fast‑paced position you will process purchase orders end‑to‑end, support internal stakeholders and help maintain optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage C‑class items procurement activities across the full purchasing cycle (PR to PO, PO issuance, confirmation, delivery follow‑up, and supplier payment coordination).
• Coordinate with vendors to track material delivery status and resolve shortages or excesses.
• Prepare and update Open Purchase Order and Shortage reports for review.
• Execute pull‑in, push‑out and cancellation actions based on MRP reports to meet KPI targets.
• Maintain inventory at optimal levels according to site requirements.
• Work with internal business partners and suppliers on PO changes and maintain the supplier database.
• Escalate and manage shortage/excess situations and handle urgent receipt and past‑due issues.

Required profile

• Diploma, B.Com, B.B.A, B.Sc or MBA.
• 0‑2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain (not mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
