Privacy Apprenticeship – Global Privacy Office

About the role

Join the American Express Global Privacy Office as a Privacy Apprentice based in Gurugram. You will support monitoring initiatives and handle Contact Privacy requests across multiple business units, working closely with stakeholders in the US, LACC and EMEA time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of Privacy Risk Assessments (PRA), ensuring timely initiation and accurate documentation of processing activities.
• Validate risk identification, assess control adequacy, rate residual risk and verify approval completeness.
• Prepare periodic monitoring reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
• Track and follow up on Contact Privacy requests related to third‑party lifecycle management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and trackers for all privacy queries.

Required profile

• Fair knowledge of privacy laws and best practices.
• Ability to work with multinational teams and adapt to shift timings.
• High integrity, self‑motivation, detail‑orientation and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with American Express products and services is a plus.
