Principal Engineer

About the role

Bosch Home Comfort India Ltd is looking for a Principal Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of Java‑based solutions. The role focuses on new feature development, system stewardship, and delivering robust software that meets defined requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform code reviews, guide development teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Assist developers, test teams and support personnel in troubleshooting customer issues.
• Build proof‑of‑concepts and demonstrate feasibility of innovative solutions.
• Develop software according to functional and technical design specifications and participate in design/code inspections.
• Provide technical input, propose alternatives, write and execute unit tests, and estimate work effort.
• Support product teams in identifying and fixing system problems.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of industry experience in Java technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Java application development tools, code review, and build processes.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns, OOP, architecture design, migration and security.
• Familiarity with AWS services and coding best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and collaborate with globally distributed teams.
