Principal Associate – Buying (Footwear)

About the role

Myntra is looking for a Principal Associate to lead buying operations for its footwear category on the marketplace platform. You will own the full P&L, drive growth, and ensure the right assortment reaches customers while maintaining profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Own complete P&L of the footwear marketplace business, driving GMV, revenue growth, margins and profitability.
• Build and execute seasonal business plans aligned with company growth targets.
• Create and manage seasonal assortments, tracking progress against targets.
• Drive joint business planning (JBP) with key brand partners.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms.
• Collaborate with the design team on product creations.
• Plan inventory and forecast demand using data‑driven methods.
• Translate consumer insights into actionable category moves.
• Develop dashboards and perform advanced Excel analysis to monitor key metrics.
• Identify demand gaps, improve conversion, and optimise pricing, promotions and assortment.

Required profile

• 6‑9 years of experience in buying, planning, negotiation and vendor management, preferably in footwear.
• Proven track record of managing P&L and delivering growth.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data into business decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, forecasting models, data analysis).
• Dashboard creation and data visualization.
