Principal Architect, Data & Analytics

About the role

The Principal Architect, Data & Analytics will lead strategic data initiatives, guiding a team of technical leads and engineers to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s Data & Analytics strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design, implement, and optimize scalable data architectures and analytics platforms such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.
• Oversee selection, deployment, and governance of analytics tools, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
• Provide thought leadership on cloud management, governance, security, and self‑service analytics.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and third‑party integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, and data warehousing.
• Proven track record delivering business value through data‑driven solutions.

Required skills

• Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, PowerBI, Databricks.
• Apache Spark, PySpark, Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), Delta Live Tables.
• Metadata‑driven ETL frameworks, Unity Catalog.
• CI/CD practices, Git source control, deployment automation.
• SAP data integration (preferred) and Azure certifications (preferred).
