Preschool Janitor

About the role

Alutiingcut Childcare Center is looking for a reliable Preschool Janitor to keep our early‑learning environment clean, safe, and welcoming for children, families, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas on a daily basis.
• Maintain floors, carpets, and furnishings, ensuring they are in good condition.
• Restock cleaning supplies and monitor inventory.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation protocols, including proper disposal of waste.
• Report any maintenance issues to the administration promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Either a minimum of 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, OR an Alaska SEED Level 7 Certificate or higher.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Ability to pass state, federal, and tribal background checks.
• Must be at least 18 years old and provide professional references.
• Preferably experience in childcare or education settings, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Organized, responsible, nurturing, and a strong team player.
