Pool Attendant

About the role

The Pool Attendant ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests using the pool and surrounding recreational areas. You will be the first point of contact, creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck and surrounding areas daily.
• Promote a positive guest experience with an upbeat attitude.
• Monitor pool activity, respond to emergencies, and follow local operating procedures.
• Enforce facility rules and inform supervisors of unsafe situations.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Collect, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely.
• Use clear, professional language and maintain positive working relationships.
• Read and verify information on signs, equipment, and paperwork.
• Inspect tools and equipment for defects.
• Enter and retrieve work‑related data using computers or point‑of‑sale systems.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces safely.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lb.
• Comfort working on wet or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and company policies.

Required skills

• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use point‑of‑sale systems.
• Ability to read small print and visually inspect equipment.
