PMO – Settlements Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the Settlements Transformation Programme within a leading global financial institution. The role will drive the design and implementation of the target‑state operating model and technology roadmap for settlements across global markets operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate settlement transformation initiatives from inception through implementation, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, timeline and quality standards.
• Manage project plans, dependencies, milestones and critical deliverables, using Agile, Waterfall, PMI or Prince2 methodologies.
• Partner with senior business leaders, technology teams, operations stakeholders and external vendors, providing regular updates on progress, risks and outcomes.
• Identify, assess, escalate and mitigate project risks and issues while ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, variance reporting and resource planning to optimise capacity across initiatives.
• Support migration planning, testing, go‑live execution and post‑implementation stabilisation, maintaining detailed runbooks and contingency plans.
• Prepare executive‑level status reports, presentations and dashboards; maintain project documentation in JIRA and Confluence.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of project management experience in an investment bank, capital markets or financial services environment.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale transformation or change programmes in global markets, operations or settlements.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, governance and regulatory requirements within financial services.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and presentation skills.
