Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer to lead the design, documentation, and coordination of plumbing and fire protection systems for building projects. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver compliant, cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare concept, schematic, design development and construction drawings for waste, soil & rainwater, water supply, sprinkler, hose‑reel, hydrant and fire extinguisher systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and produce calculation notes.
• Develop tender drawings, shop drawings, scale layouts and detailed BOQ/quantity take‑offs.
• Prepare technical specifications, material lists, cost estimates and support bidding activities.
• Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, architectural and structural teams, and liaise with clients and consultants to define functional requirements.
• Manage project schedules, progress reporting and support site execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 4–15 years of experience in plumbing and fire fighting design for building projects.
• Proven background in MEP consultancy services.
• Strong knowledge of Indian codes and standards (NBC, IS codes, fire norms).
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
