Plumbing Engineer

About the role

IPS, a global leader in technical consulting and engineering for life‑science facilities, is seeking an experienced Plumbing Engineer to join its teams in Mumbai, Delhi or Hyderabad. You will be responsible for delivering complete plumbing and storm‑water solutions for complex projects, ensuring compliance with US codes and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project deliverables, including cost estimates for storm‑water and full plumbing networks.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to produce necessary drawings and layouts.
• Develop plumbing layouts, raw‑water pump‑room plans, and calculate pipe and drain sizes.
• Prepare tender documents, send enquiries to approved vendors, and release technical bid analyses.
• Issue storm‑water drainage and plumbing layout drawings.
• Collaborate with fire‑hydrant, electrical, and other service teams for integrated design.
• Conduct site visits to identify issues and provide resolutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in plumbing engineering.
• Completed AutoCAD training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Additional certification courses are a plus.
