Platforms Lead Engineer – L3 (Linux, Hyper‑V, Proxmox)

About the role

ISSQUARED is seeking a senior Platforms Lead Engineer (L3) to design, configure, and support Linux, Hyper‑V, Proxmox, and related datacenter technologies for enterprise customers. The role involves close coordination with clients and cross‑functional technical teams to ensure high‑quality solutions and rapid issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments according to customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on Proxmox, Hyper‑V, and related virtualization platforms.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery, and advanced storage connectivity solutions (iSCSI, NFS, FC, FCoE).
• Collaborate with customers and internal specialists to gather requirements and deliver compliant solutions.
• Provide expertise on Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and other cloud services.
• Support Layer 3 networking, subnetting, and firmware patching activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, virtualization, and storage.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and Microsoft cloud technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with storage platforms such as Nimble, Dell SC/EMC, NetApp, Nutanix, VxRack, Simplivity.
• Familiarity with compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI, GDPR) and other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
