Platform Engineer - Kubernetes

About the role

Elastic is looking for a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain its application hosting infrastructure on Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform. You will join a small, focused team that emphasizes automation, security, and scalability to support internal applications across the company. Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions for core applications using infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated build systems to accelerate software delivery.
• Monitor system performance, optimize resource usage, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Ensure security compliance by collaborating with Infosec and handling incident response and CVE remediation.
• Analyze cloud spending, enforce financial governance, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Crossplane.
• 5+ years working with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and Kubernetes.
• Relevant certification (Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate or equivalent).
