Platform Disaster Recovery & Capacity Engineer

About the role

The Disaster Recovery & Capacity Engineer designs and implements solutions that support platform‑wide disaster response and crisis management, ensuring business continuity for Anaplan’s customers. The role also forecasts, plans, and monitors platform capacity to meet current and future demand while managing risks and optimizing resource usage.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering and Service Management to define and execute DR strategies for cloud and data‑center environments.
• Build and maintain tooling that tracks DR progress, maturity, and KPI compliance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain capacity‑planning frameworks, policies, and automation tools.
• Provide capacity forecasts, impact assessments for new services, and manage deviations through improvement initiatives.
• Report regularly on disaster‑recovery activities and contribute to risk‑mitigation planning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations or production engineering.
• Hands‑on Linux administration experience.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes administration.
• Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Understanding of high‑availability and disaster‑recovery architectures for cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and complex, distributed system troubleshooting.
