Plant Operator – Manufacturing Facility

About the role

The Plant Operator will work on‑site at Hridol Chemicals' Bharuch facility, ensuring that production equipment runs safely and efficiently. This full‑time position involves monitoring process parameters, following standard operating procedures, and collaborating with maintenance and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Start, stop and adjust production machinery according to SOPs.
• Monitor gauges, control panels and record production data.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to report and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist with routine inspections, basic troubleshooting and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area while adhering to safety and environmental guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong plant‑operations background with experience in machine operation and basic equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of quality‑control practices to ensure product specifications and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to operate forklifts or similar material‑handling equipment safely.
• Understanding of safety, health and environmental requirements in chemical or process industries.
• Proficiency in reading technical instructions, process diagrams and log sheets.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends or holidays as required.
• Previous experience in chemical or process plants is preferred; vocational or technical qualification in chemical, mechanical or industrial disciplines is an advantage.
