Plant Cost Controller

About the role

The Plant Cost Controller will partner with operational management to drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for our manufacturing facilities in Acharapakkam and Singavaram. The role ensures financial data integrity, supports closing activities, and contributes to continuous improvement of plant efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational managers to develop, consolidate and file budget templates.
• Prepare provisional results, load them into the controlling tool and perform variance analysis against budget and prior year.
• Support the accounting department during month‑end close, presenting and explaining results.
• Assist in cash‑management activities and propose corrective action plans.
• Develop and challenge forecasts, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Monitor industrial equipment efficiency and key performance indicators together with the Plant Manager.
• Conduct detailed financial analyses by profit centre and support cost‑management modelling.
• Produce data‑driven reports, highlighting the impact of data quality on business decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in costing, variance analysis, budget preparation or process improvement.
• ICWA or CMA qualification preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, ability to work across departments and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel to plant locations (at least 30% of working time).
