PHP Laravel Developer

About the role

Acaflix, an education technology company, is looking for a full‑time PHP Laravel Developer to join its Kozhikode office. You will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable back‑end services that power interactive learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back‑end features and APIs using PHP and Laravel.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and perform code reviews.
• Debug, optimise, and refactor existing systems for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with front‑end and product teams to integrate user‑facing components.
• Work with relational databases, third‑party services, and version control (Git).
• Participate in architecture discussions and follow best practices for testing and deployment.

Required profile

• Strong background in back‑end web development with hands‑on PHP and Laravel experience.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming and design patterns.
• Practical knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and common frameworks.
• Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases and RESTful API design.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and effective teamwork.
