Pharmacist – Retail Pharmacy (Kochi)

About the role

Davaindia Generic Pharmacy, part of Zota Healthcare Ltd., is seeking a full‑time Pharmacist for its Kochi outlet. The role involves accurate dispensing of medicines, prescription verification and providing clear counseling to customers on usage, dosage and possible side effects.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and verify prescriptions.
• Provide counseling on proper usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Maintain inventory levels, ensure proper storage, and monitor expiry dates.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals and manage billing and documentation.
• Advise customers on generic alternatives and cost‑effective options.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and uphold company policies and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, generic medicines and standard treatment guidelines.
• Skills in prescription verification, medication dispensing and dosage calculation.
• Customer service, communication and patient counseling abilities.
• Attention to detail, record‑keeping and inventory management experience.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software, billing systems and basic computer operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm/D.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
• Valid pharmacy registration and license as per local regulations.
• Ability to work in shifts, adhere to ethical standards and comply with pharmacy regulations.
• Previous experience in retail or generic pharmacy settings is an advantage.
