About the role

The pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of medicines in a pharmacy setting. This role involves reviewing prescriptions, advising patients on medication use, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medicines accurately and safely according to valid prescriptions.
• Review prescriptions to confirm correct medicine, dosage, quantity, and instructions.
• Guide patients on proper use, dosage, precautions, and storage of medicines.
• Maintain precise records of stock, batch numbers, and expiry dates.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely procurement.
• Ensure medicines are stored under appropriate conditions and in compliance with regulations.
• Handle billing, prescription records, and other pharmacy documentation.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, healthcare regulations, and internal procedures.
• Assist customers with basic queries about medicines and their usage.
• Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals for clarification or support.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow proper dispensing procedures.
