Pharmacist

About the role

Medizys is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Pharmacist to join its Bengaluru team. The role focuses on accurate medication dispensing, patient counseling, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and verify prescriptions.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Maintain detailed and secure pharmacy records.
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions and optimize therapy.
• Manage inventory, monitor storage conditions, and track expiries.
• Support quality‑assurance activities and patient‑safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.
• Proficiency in prescription verification, medication reconciliation, and documentation using pharmacy information systems or electronic health records.
• Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulatory standards, and best practices for medication safety and controlled substances.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, organizational abilities, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D) from an accredited institution.
• Valid pharmacist registration/license as required by local authorities.
• Prior experience in hospital, clinical, or retail pharmacy settings is preferred.
