Performance Engineer (LoadRunner) – Pan India

About the role

TCS is seeking an experienced Performance Engineer to design, execute, and analyse load testing initiatives across its finance and banking projects. The role focuses on using LoadRunner and modern APM tools to ensure applications meet performance expectations in a cloud‑enabled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement analysis, test design, execution and result interpretation for performance testing.
• Develop and optimise Vugen scripts using Java and C to simulate realistic workloads.
• Analyse test outcomes, collaborate with development teams for issue triaging and bug resolution.
• Capture production performance metrics and replicate them in test environments to uncover bottlenecks.
• Monitor database performance and highlight potential issues.
• Work with finance‑banking domain applications, applying relevant industry knowledge.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of hands‑on experience in performance testing.
• Strong expertise with LoadRunner (HTTP/HTML, Webservices, Java protocols).
• Proficiency in Java and C programming for script customisation.
• Experience with APM tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace or New Relic.
• Solid understanding of OS internals, storage, networking and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
• Educational qualification of at least 15 years of full‑time education with a minimum 50% aggregate.
