About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Siddipet involves delivering comprehensive care for children undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. The role spans pre‑operative assessment, intra‑operative participation, and post‑operative critical care, with a strong focus on family‑centered, ethical treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑operative evaluation, counseling, and treatment planning for pediatric cardiac patients.
• Assist in or perform cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries and manage intra‑operative decision‑making.
• Lead post‑operative care in the pediatric ICU, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards.
• Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Collaborate closely with anesthesiology, cardiology, intensive care, nursing, and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to clinical audits, training of junior staff, outreach programs, and research or quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced clinical training in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (MCh/DNB or equivalent, preferably with pediatric focus).
• Proven expertise in peri‑operative management of pediatric cardiac patients.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to compassionate, family‑centered care and excellent communication with caregivers.
• Interest in high‑volume, resource‑conscious settings and adherence to evidence‑based protocols.
• Willingness to teach, mentor junior clinicians, and engage in audits or research.
