Payments Merchant Acquiring Manager

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its payments portfolio into QR acquiring. The Payments Merchant Acquiring Manager will build the business from the ground up in a defined territory, hiring and leading a field sales team, and overseeing QR, SB and POS/EDC deployment to drive transaction volume and gross merchandise value.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate the Field Operations Staff (FOS) team.
• Acquire merchants and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop distribution channels and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Ensure proper coverage through FOS mapping and channel management.
• Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (or graduate with 3‑6 years).
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy.
• Willingness to work in the field and meet retailers regularly.
