Payments Merchant Acquiring Manager

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its payments portfolio into QR acquiring. The Payments Merchant Acquiring Manager will build the QR acquiring business from the ground up in the assigned territory, recruit and lead a field sales team, and oversee the end‑to‑end deployment of QR, SB and POS/EDC solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate the Field Operations Staff (FOS) to achieve productivity targets.
• Acquire merchants and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments across the territory.
• Develop distribution channels, map coverage, and manage channel relationships.
• Engage key decision‑makers to create business development opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation metrics.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a high‑energy, self‑starter attitude.
• Willingness to work in the field and meet retailers regularly.
