Payments Manager – Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and is looking for a Payments Manager to lead the effort in the Delhi‑Pitampura territory. You will build the business from the ground up, hire and develop a high‑performing team, and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments to generate transaction volume and gross merchandise value.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) to achieve productivity targets.
• Acquire new merchants and oversee QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop distribution channels and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Ensure proper FOS coverage through mapping and channel management.
• Drive sales, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and maintain process rigor and controllership.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy.
• Self‑starter with a passion for field work and retailer engagement.
