Patent Officer – Equity-Based, Part-Time (Remote)

About the role

Kefilo is seeking a highly research‑oriented Patent Officer to join its founding team. This part‑time, equity‑only position is fully remote and focuses on building a defensible intellectual‑property ecosystem for innovative wellness, nutrition, and health‑tech solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, document, and evaluate novel concepts, systems, processes, and technology‑driven solutions with patent potential.
• Collaborate with founders, product, nutrition, and technology teams to conduct novelty analysis, prior‑art research, and IP strategy development.
• Conduct comprehensive research on patents, prior art, and emerging innovation landscapes in wellness, food systems, and healthcare.
• Help design long‑term IP workflows, confidentiality frameworks, and documentation processes to support future commercialization.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of patents, intellectual property, and innovation ecosystems.
• Research‑oriented, detail‑focused mindset with excellent analytical abilities.
• Ability to translate innovative concepts into structured IP opportunities.
• Interest in wellness, healthcare, food innovation, or technology transformation ecosystems.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving startup environment with a long‑term ownership mindset.
