Part‑time Pharmacy Clerk – Customer Service & Inventory

About the role

We are seeking a reliable part‑time Pharmacy Clerk to join our team at our Nepean location. Working closely with the Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists, technicians and assistants, you will help ensure smooth prescription pick‑up and drop‑off processes while delivering courteous service to customers and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and technicians with preparation, packaging and distribution of prescriptions.
• Enter prescriptions, labels and consent forms into the pharmacy computer system and keep patient records up‑to‑date.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and dispensary, including monitoring refrigeration temperatures.
• Perform cash‑handling duties, process transactions at the till and manage cash‑out procedures.
• Handle deliveries, ensure accurate documentation and support inventory flow from receiving to shelves.
• Conduct cycle counts, monitor stock levels, flag out‑of‑stock items and assist with inventory counts.
• Answer customer inquiries in person and by phone, addressing product location, refunds, pricing and other concerns while preserving confidentiality.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk or similar role within Canadian pharmacy operations.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail for accurate data entry and medication handling.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain patient privacy.
