Partner Role in Indirect Tax – Bangalore

About the role

This partner position focuses on indirect tax advisory and compliance for clients in Bangalore. You will lead engagements related to GST and customs, ensuring accurate filings and providing technical tax insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client engagements covering GST and customs compliance, including return preparation, filing, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Conduct detailed research on GST, customs, and related indirect‑tax matters, delivering accurate technical inputs.
• Collaborate with client finance and tax teams to resolve compliance issues, coordinate tax payments, and meet statutory deadlines.
• Maintain compliance calendars, support tax audits, assessments, and special projects.
• Update internal knowledge databases, share best practices, and contribute to external seminars and events.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities, build professional networks, and represent the firm’s expertise at industry forums.

Required profile

• Strong background in indirect tax, GST, and customs regulations.
• Experience handling end‑to‑end tax compliance and client advisory engagements.
• Ability to conduct tax research, interpret regulatory changes, and provide technical guidance.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and knowledge sharing.
