Packing and Logistics Support Staff

About the role

Valar is seeking a full‑time Packing and Logistics Support Staff member to join its Coimbatore facility. The role focuses on preparing, packing, and dispatching coir pith products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and pack coir pith products according to established quality and safety guidelines.
• Accurately label packages and complete required documentation for each shipment.
• Organise inventory, track stock levels, and report any damages or discrepancies.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods, ensuring safe handling of materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the packing area and follow standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to meet shipment schedules and delivery timelines.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow packing, labeling, and documentation procedures.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations, inventory handling, and logistics processes.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move materials safely.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
• Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Basic reading and writing skills for handling labels and simple records; familiarity with local languages is a plus.
• Willingness to undergo training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
