OT Technician – Anaesthesiology Department (Contract)

About the role

The Department of Anaesthesiology at a NABH and NABL accredited hospital in New Delhi is seeking contract OT Technicians to support surgical procedures. The role involves preparing the operation theatre, assisting surgeons and anaesthetists, and ensuring a sterile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operation theatre, including equipment setup and patient positioning.
• Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during surgeries and transport patients between zones.
• Ensure availability of clean, sterilized instruments and consumables.
• Monitor and maintain medical gas pipelines and central gas supplies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair tracking for OT equipment.
• Operate C‑arm, ultrasound (USG) machines and other specialised OT devices.
• Follow CSSD sterilisation processes and adhere to OT protocols.
• Participate in periodic night duties as per roster.

Required profile

• BSc in Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (1‑2 years experience) or Diploma in the same field (3‑4 years experience).
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and work in a fast‑paced surgical environment.
• Willingness to work on a contractual basis.
