OPT Recruiter – US IT Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive OPT Recruiter who will specialize in sourcing, screening and placing international visa holders for US‑based IT roles. The role is fully remote, supporting US business hours (EST) and works closely with our talent acquisition team.

Key responsibilities

• Source and build pipelines of OPT, H‑1B and Green Card candidates across IT domains such as software engineering, data engineering, DevOps, cloud, QA and cybersecurity.
• Conduct phone/video screenings to evaluate technical competence, communication skills, career goals and visa eligibility.
• Guide candidates through onboarding, documentation verification and act as the main point of contact throughout their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical trainers, bench‑sales and account managers to align talent with market needs.
• Stay current on US immigration regulations and ensure compliance with ethical recruiting practices.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in US IT recruitment or OPT sourcing.
• Strong understanding of US work authorisations (OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, H‑1B, Green Card, US citizenship).
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with common IT skill sets and tech stacks such as Java, Python, Data Science, AWS, Azure, Salesforce, DevOps and UI/UX.
• Proficiency using job boards and platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Dice, Monster, Indeed and niche OPT databases.
