Operations Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Operations Technician 2 to join its manufacturing team. The role is based onsite five days a week and contributes to the production of equipment that supports sustainable communities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Document work activities and maintain accurate records.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced, hands‑on setting.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with standard shop‑floor tools and equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
