Operations Team Member – Custodial Operations (Capital Markets)

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Team Member to join the Custody/DDP desk of a leading bank. The role focuses on onboarding and servicing Foreign Portfolio Investor (FPI) and Foreign Direct Investor (FDI) clients, ensuring all regulatory and documentation requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process onboarding documentation for FPI and FDI clients.
• Explain regulatory requirements to prospective investors and guide them through the onboarding process.
• Handle modification requests for existing accounts and review client structures for compliance.
• Interact directly with clients and internal business teams to resolve documentation queries.
• Coordinate with internal operations to guarantee timely account opening.
• Manage audit and regulatory queries from initiation to resolution.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of SEBI and RBI KYC guidelines, SEBI (FPI) regulations and operational guidelines, and custody business processes.
• Proficiency in reviewing complex documentation.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Established relationships with regulatory officials such as SEBI and NSDL.
