Operations Supervisor – Baggage Screening

About the role

The Operations Supervisor – Baggage Screening ensures safe and efficient screening of hold baggage at the airport, complying with all regulatory standards and detecting prohibited items or security threats. You will lead a team of screeners, operate advanced screening equipment, and coordinate with airport and security stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Operate X‑BIS, ETD, and CT‑EDS equipment to detect dangerous goods, weapons, and prohibited articles.
• Perform physical inspections and ETD tests on baggage flagged by X‑ray screening.
• Maintain high Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores to demonstrate strong image interpretation.
• Conduct routine pre‑operational checks and report equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with BCAS and DGCA guidelines and document all findings for audits.
• Collaborate with CISF and airline staff during inspections and resolve suspicious items.
• Provide timely updates to supervisors and manage time efficiently to meet screening targets.

Required profile

• Completed all mandatory regulatory trainings and certifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent record‑keeping and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
