Operations Manager – Mortgage

U.S. Bancorp India is seeking an Operations Manager for its Mortgage division in Chennai. The role involves overseeing daily operational activities, ensuring high‑quality service for internal and external customers, and driving continuous improvement across the functional area.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage and coordinate operational activities for assigned regions and functional areas.
• Maintain quality service standards and provide effective operational support to all customers.
• Lead high‑performance teams of entry‑level and skilled professionals, setting goals, giving feedback, and measuring progress.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, applicable laws, and regulations.
• Participate in reviewing and improving operational systems, procedures, and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to seven years of total experience as an Operations Manager.
• Three to five years of experience in a team‑management or operations‑manager role.
• Strong people‑management, time‑management, and data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of operational functions, systems, procedures, and related products or services.
• Understanding of applicable federal and state regulations.
• Excellent organizational, project‑management, and customer‑relations skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
