Operations Executive – Hub Operations

About the role

The Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Hub Operations will oversee end‑to‑end mid‑mile activities at the Panvel air or surface hub of Blue Dart. Reporting to the Head – Hub Operations, the role ensures shipments move efficiently across the network while maintaining safety, compliance and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day inbound, outbound and transit operations, planning daily activities based on shipment volumes and network priorities.
• Coordinate shipment processing, fleet movements, dock allocation and manpower deployment to meet network schedules and minimise turnaround times.
• Monitor loading, unloading, scanning and tallying activities to ensure shipment accuracy and timely dispatch of priority and time‑definite parcels.
• Manage operational exceptions such as delays, misroutes or stock lying at hub (SLAH), communicating disruptions and recovery actions to stakeholders.
• Supervise operational staff and outsourced workforce, conduct shift briefings, and drive productivity, attendance and adherence to SOPs.
• Ensure optimal utilisation of vehicles, trailers and equipment, working with fleet partners to reduce delays and improve efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with safety, security and regulatory requirements, supporting audits and implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, Aviation, Surface Linehaul, Customer Service and Regional Operations to sustain network connectivity and service reliability.
