Operation Theatre Technician – Bardez, Goa

About the role

We are seeking an Operation Theatre (OT) Technician to join our surgical team in Bardez, Goa. The role involves preparing patients and equipment for surgeries, assisting surgeons, and maintaining a sterile environment. The position works under the supervision of the In‑Charge – Operation Theatre.

Key responsibilities

• Receive surgical patients, verify identification and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare patients for surgery and assist doctors during procedures.
• Maintain and sterilize all operation theatre equipment and enforce infection‑control guidelines.
• Monitor and update emergency medicines, oxygen supplies and other drugs.
• Prioritise emergency cases and coordinate with consultants and relevant departments.
• Maintain departmental documentation and confidentiality of patient and staff information.
• Participate in quality assurance, quality control and continuous quality improvement activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Operation Theatre or Anaesthesia.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Adherence to specified dress code and ID card policy.
• Willingness to work duty hours as scheduled.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols.
• Ability to manage emergency medication and oxygen supplies.
