OPD Assistant

About the role

The OPD Assistant will ensure smooth operation of the outpatient department at Anil Eye Hospital in Kalyan Dombivli. Working on‑site, you will be the first point of contact for patients, guiding them through registration, appointments and the consultation process.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients and verify their details in the hospital system.
• Assist patients in navigating the OPD, directing them to consultation rooms and waiting areas.
• Schedule appointments and update patient records accurately.
• Prepare consultation rooms with necessary forms and basic supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in OPD areas, adhering to infection‑control protocols.
• Answer routine patient queries and provide courteous front‑line support.
• Coordinate with doctors, optometrists, nurses and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow.

Required profile

• Strong patient‑service orientation with clear communication and empathy.
• Basic administrative and clerical abilities, including data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Attention to detail and adherence to hospital hygiene, confidentiality and safety standards.
• Minimum high school diploma; healthcare assistance or hospital administration certificate is a plus.
• Prior experience in an OPD or clinic is preferred but not mandatory; freshers are welcome.
• Proficiency in local languages and English for effective communication.
