Occupational Health Physician with AFIH

About the role

Mediaid Healthcare LLP is seeking a full‑time Occupational Health Physician (AFIH) to work on‑site in the Kutch district. The physician will lead medical assessments, manage work‑related health issues, and support the company’s health‑and‑safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct periodic and pre‑employment medical examinations and assess fitness for work.
• Diagnose, treat, and follow‑up on workplace‑related illnesses and injuries.
• Monitor occupational health risks and advise preventive measures.
• Support implementation of health and safety policies in coordination with management and safety teams.
• Deliver health education and training sessions for employees.
• Maintain accurate medical and occupational health records.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and participate in incident reviews.
• Provide evidence‑based recommendations to improve worker health and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine.
• Clinical expertise in general medicine, including diagnosis and treatment.
• Experience delivering health, safety, and wellness training.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• AFIH (Associate Fellowship in Industrial Health) or equivalent qualification.
• Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and registration with the relevant medical council.
• Knowledge of occupational health legislation and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and counseling skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in industrial or remote locations and adapt to local conditions.
